CTN Ministries - Angel Food Ministries
Trinity is now offering Angel Food Ministries, a monthly opportunity for you to buy economical boxes of groceries. This is how it works:
- Review the current month's menu and determine which boxes and how many you would like to purchase.
- Order in person at Trinity Church of the Nazarene 30 minutes after services on Sunday and Wednesday or during office hours prior to the deadline. Payment is due at time of order. We accept cash, checks (payable to Calvary Baptist Church, our sponsor site), and Food Vouchers (EBT).
- Bring your order receipt and a large box (copier paper or banana boxes work well) or cooler and pick up your food at Trinity between 5-7 pm on that month's pick up date.
About Angel Food Ministries
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization designed to help people cut the cost of feeding their families. It is not just for people who are struggling financially or who fall below a certain income level. There are no qualifications or application processes and it is open to all who could benefit from quality food at low prices. Local churches act as ordering and distribution centers.
Each month participants have the opportunity to buy a "box" of groceries. They order and pay for the groceries by the order deadline. Payments can be by check, cash or Food Stamps EBT. Angel Food’s main site also offers an online order option but that is currently not available at Trinity. On a specific food distribution day, participants pick up the order from the church.
Food packages change from month to month, but buyers know in advance what they are purchasing. The food includes a variety of both frozen and fresh items, and has a retail value between $45-$60. With each order comes a publication titled "The Servant", which includes religious and inspirational messages and a menu for the next month. There are no restrictions on the number of food boxes that can be purchased. One box of food should feed a family of four for one week or a single person for one month.
